Welcome to the website for Dr. Jin Wang’s research group at the Chemical Engineering Department at Auburn University. The Wang group is an interdisciplinary research group for systems biotechnology and process systems engineering. We aim to address climate change and global warming through two main routes:
- Develop next-generation waste-to-value biotechnologies for methane mitigation and nutrient recovery from wastes.
- Leverage artificial intelligence to improve smart manufacturing to improve energy productivity and energy efficiency of various industrial processes.
Our research contributes to mathematical modeling for both complex industrial processes and biological systems, new experimental protocols for complex microbial systems, and design of novel bioreactors.
For more information on active projects, please see the research page.
